Sage 50 Finance Systems Contractor

Location: Ireland (Hybrid)
Contract: 3 - 4 Months (Potential Extension)

Overview

I'm recruiting for an experienced Sage 50 Finance Systems Contractor to support a finance automation programme and future ERP migration initiative.

Working across finance, data, and technology teams, you will help optimise month-end processes, support system integration activities, validate automated outputs, and contribute to migration readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and validate month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journals, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and management accounts.
• Act as Sage 50 SME, supporting data extraction, validation, reconciliation, and integration activities.
• Define and validate automation rules, controls, and exception handling processes.
• Review automated outputs, investigate discrepancies, and support data quality assurance.
• Assist with ERP migration preparation, including data mapping, testing, and process continuity.
• Maintain strong controls, audit trails, and governance standards.

Essential Skills & Experience

• 5+ years' finance or accounting experience.
• Strong hands-on Sage 50 expertise.
• Deep understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and journal processing.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience with finance systems improvement, automation, or transformation projects.

Desirable

• Finance systems integrations.
• ERP migration experience (NetSuite advantageous).
• Exposure to automation, workflow, RPA, or AI-enabled solutions.
• Public sector or regulated environment experience.
